3 Simple Ways To Bring More Joy and Abundance Into Your Business and Life | #1 Let Joy Be Your Guide

Have you ever said or thought you want to experience more joy in your life or business and then got yourself caught up worrying about money or feeling overwhelmed by the many things on your to-do list?

Not exactly joy enhancing, right?

Well, if this has ever happened to you, then you are definitely not the only one.

Whether it is worry, fear, anxiety or whatever else might stress you out or overwhelm you, I'm sure you've also noticed that simply telling yourself to stop worrying, to stop being afraid, to stop being anxious, to stop stressing out doesn't work very well, right?

Why not, you might ask?

Well, worry is a habit. And in order to change any habit, guess what?

You must make new choices and back those new choices up with new actions until you have created a new habit.

As Abraham-Hicks says:
You can't worry your way to joy. You joy your way to joy.

Worrying has been passed down through the generations as a way of showing that you care. The more you care about someone or something, the more you might find yourself worrying. Even though you probably realise this is not an optimal use of your energy, we're dealing with some deeply ingrained habits here.

You can change a habit in a nano second. Maintaining that as your new habit, though, tends to require consistent implementation. Hence the power of 40 day programs.

Yogi Bhajan, who brought kundalini yoga to the west, said it takes :

  1. 40 days to change a habit,
  2. 90 days to confirm the new habit,
  3. 120 days to BE that new habit and
  4. 1000 days for mastery of that habit.

Over the next few weeks I'll be sharing 3 simple ways to bring more joy and abundance into your life and business.

Let's start with the first one:

#1 Let Joy Be Your Guide

When you choose to align with what is most joyful for you in each moment, you shift your energy. It starts with a shift in perspective, which then starts to shift your entire energy field and hence your experiences of life.

Choosing to let joy be your guide is an invitation to wake up to the fullness of who you are. It's an invitation to ditch the limitations you've ever agreed to live by, most of which have been held within your unconscious database.

One way this can play out is that the moment you've committed to fully BE YOU, then before too long you start finding all these so-called shadow aspects emerging. You know, everything that you would label as NOT joyful. This is GOOD NEWS!

In order for you to emBODY joy in all aspects of life and business, you must be willing to let go of:

1. holding on to wanting control

2. seeking security outside yourself

3. abdicating power onto anyone or anything else and thereby denying yourSelf from being a powerful expression of Source and trusting your inner guidance.

A very simple and easy way to start shifting your energy to align with your inner JOY channel, is to set aside 10 minutes a day to dial in to the FEELING state of joy.

Once you start to let joy be your guide, it’s time to start infusing this joy into all of your creations and manifestations. I’ll share some juicy nuggets of gold with you in the next 3 Simple Ways To Bring More Joy and Abundance Into Your Life And Business.

In the meantime, post a comment below with your insights about a situation where you may have been getting in your own way of allowing the joy back into your life and business more fully and how you can let joy be your guide to create a new experience for yourself.

And if you enjoyed this tip, then please share the joy by clicking wildly on the social media share buttons so that your friends can join in the conversation.

Until we meet again, go forth and let joy be your guide to a life and business that are worth waking up for every day.

joyful blessings,

Tina

P.S. If the thought of committing to 40 days feels too overwhelming right now, then why not get started with 5 days?

  • Appreciating this quote that I’d never read before, Tina, “As Abraham-Hicks say: You can’t worry your way to joy. You joy your way to joy.”

You offer lots of new and practical suggestions here! Seems we’re on the same page as today’s blog post was also about manifesting abundance- the manifestation portal opens up wide next week thanks to the Eclipse Fest.

I’ll be sharing your post with my Women as Visionaries with Lore Raymond business page today.

Happy Almost-New Moon-Solar Eclipse! Will you be able to see some of it in Oz? xo L

    • Ah yes Lore, one of my favourite quotes and re-mind-ers 🙂 Thanks for sharing! And isn’t it fun when we’re tuned in to the same channel? Happy moonifesting. xx

  • I love this quote: You can’t worry your way to joy. You joy your way to joy. I am learning that joy is a choice I can make every moment.

    • Isn’t that a fabulous quote and re-mind-er Rachel? I love it, too. And yes… a choice to remember the joy you are and allowing that to be expressed and experienced in all you are and do… many joyful blessings from Oz xx

    • Thanks for reading and leaving your comment Lisa. Glad it resonates 🙂 and yep, good thing we always have a chance to choose again, right? many joyful blessings xx

  • Excellent post. Although I liked the whole thing, Yogi’s assertion that it takes 1000 days to master a habit gave me the giggles. I have no idea why… seems like a very short period of time to master anything. Thanks for sharing.

    • Thanks Andrea. And as far as the 1000 days goes… give it a go… It can be surprising… An excellent challenge might be 1000 days of writing a daily blog post 🙂

I’ve created, facilitated and participated in quite a few 40 day programs and it’s amazing what can show up to get in the way. My first experience with this was participating in a yoga challenge, where I did a 40 minute class called ‘Fire of Transformation’ every day. Ahhhhmaaaaazing! It actually inspired 40 Days of Money and Miracles and has resulted in several other 40 day programs 🙂 Anyway, I discovered there were certain days when it was so easy to hop on that mat but there were others when I really, really did not feel like it and it took all my willpower to get on that mat and honour my commitment to my Self. With yoga, I’ve only ever made it to 97 consecutive days so far; then I was stopped by an injury ( not caused by the yoga ) and I’ve never quite made it back to daily practice. So I can only imagine what might be possible with 1000 days…

  • I keep a quote by Brian Tracey taped to my desk that reads, “Worrying is negative goal setting.” That helps me keep joy first and foremost in my thoughts!

Thanks for an inspiring reminder. 🙂

    • That’s so true about worrying being negative goal setting, Sheila! Thanks for sharing 🙂 and you’re welcome. Many joyful blessings xx

    • What a wonderful way to start your day Barb! Thank you for sharing this here as it may inspire others to bring this into their daily life as well 🙂 many joyful blessings xx
